Mr. George Soule, III, passed away April 6, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family by his side. Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late George H. Soule, Jr. and Ethel Annette Kirby Soule.
During George's lifetime, he accomplished an enormous amount. He was a decorated athlete, a Purple Heart Veteran, wine and cheese connoisseur, a devoted father, loving husband, dear friend, mentor and a "damn good coach", just to name a few. He always looked for opportunities to help and mentor others.
George always had a passion for soccer and especially women's soccer. He, along with a few good friends, pioneered the way for girls soccer in Charleston and Columbia, SC. He was vigilant in creating equal opportunities for girls.
Other interests he had were traveling, shopping, enjoying a devine glass of wine with a paired cheese, hiking, appreciating fine cuisine, spending time with family, watching birds, growing plants and flowers.
