Obituary of Patricia Sue Browne Williams

Patricia Sue Browne Williams of Columbia passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 30,2020. Born in Shelby, N.C she was the daughter of the late Hal L. Browne and Virginia Watts Browne. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Lynn Williams; daughters, Kimberly Lynn Williams and Stacy Alane Bouknight; grandsons, Mitchell Ryan Harley,Tucker David Harley and Guy Bryan Bouknight, Jr.  

"Patti" was a loving wife, mother,daughter,niece,cousin and friend.She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She attended Shelby High School, where she made life long friends, "The Magnolias". She also attended Lenoir-Rhyne College, where she earned her B.A. in education.She was a public school teacher, until she had her own children. She was a member of Virginia Wingard Memorial United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed beach music and loved to dance, especially the shag. She was an avid thrift store shopper, and enjoyed playing bridge with her friends, the "Bridge Babes".

She had a wonderful sense of humor, and never met a stranger. She was a kind, loving and giving person.

Donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital can be made to honor Patti who was personally touched by her grandson's treatments there.

A celebration of her life will be announced to family and friends at a later date.
