Obituary of Wallace David Alexander

OBITUARY – Wallace D. Alexander – Gaston – Services for Wallace D. Alexander, 62, of Gaston, will be held at a later date. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements. Mr. Alexander passed away peacefully, March 30, 2020 at his home. Born in Brunswick, GA, he was the son of the late Charles Wallace Alexander and Vera Inez Strickland Alexander.

Wallace was an avid golfer and in recent years travelled extensively internationally from Maui to Spain with his wife, Tabatha. He spent a lot of time with family and friends and shooting pool. Wallace was the founder of Alex’s Nursery, Inc. and loved to spend time walking around looking at the fruits of his labor.

Wallace is survived by his wife, Tabatha Townsend Alexander; daughter, Nicole Renee Alexander of Columbia; son, Charles Wallace Alexander, of Gaston; step-daughters Kimberly Letton, Kensey Letton and Kandace Letton; grandkids Liddia, P and Nancy; sister, Sue Tolan (Timothy) of St. Augustine, FL; niece, Erica Tolan of Philadelphia; nephew, Justin Tolan of Atlanta, GA. Wallace is also survived by a faithful friend, Nolton Powell, and his long-time friend and employee, Oscar Martinez. In addition to his parents, Wallace was predeceased by his sister, Bertie Victoria Alexander.
