Obituary of J. Robert Coleman

J. Robert Coleman – Services for J. Robert Coleman, 69, of Columbia, will be private. Woodridge Memorial Park and Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Robert Coleman passed away March 23, 2020. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Jack Wallace Coleman and Frances Lawana Britt Friedman. Robert graduated from Dreher High School, and graduated from Florida Southern University in Lakeland, FL. He served his country in the US Army, and loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Robert retired after a career in the aerospace industry. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who never met a stranger, and whose kindness was known to all.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Gloria Kind Coleman; sons, Robert E. Coleman of Orlando, FL, Eric S. Coleman of Columbia, John C. Coleman (Ruby) of Clermont, FL; grandchildren, Tyler E. Coleman, Izabella Coleman, Jenna Coleman and a large and loving extended family. Robert is also survived by his beloved dog, Bandit.
