Obituary of Sandra Miller

 Sandra “Kim” Miller – Columbia – Celebration of Life services for Sandra “Kim” Miller, 62, of Columbia, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 7, 2020 at Mt. Elon Baptist Church, 718 Mount Elon Church Road, Hopkins, South Carolina 29061. Pastor Charles Wilson will officiate. The family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary.

Kim Miller passed away February 2, 2020. Born in Augusta, GA, she was a daughter of the late Harold Edward Miller and Annie Louise Bryan Miller. Kim was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed deeply by all who knew her. The most important thing to Kim was her family. That was her life. The true light in Kim's eyes was her granddaughter, Laura "LA" Smith, who she absolutely adored. She still spoke regularly with her family in Edgefield, SC. Only second to Kim's love of family was her love of the beach. This was her happy place. She touched many lives in the course of her career; those people share stories with her family about her kindness and sense of humor. Kim was a believer in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and lived her life accordingly.

Kim is survived by her son, Justin Lee Smith of Columbia; granddaughter, Laura Ann “LA” Smith; sister, Dianne Hicks (Terry) of Columbia; brothers, Harold Edward “Eddie” Miller, Jr., Lawrence Bryan Miller both of Columbia; nephew, Steven Eugene Hicks (Amanda) of Columbia; niece, Stacey Hicks Nesbitt of Columbia; great nieces, Madison and Austin Hicks.

The family would like to thank the staffs of South Carolina Oncology Associates, Heart of Hospice and Palliative Care at Providence Hospital of Columbia, and the many friends and family members who provided loving care and support throughout Kim’s illness.
