Obituary of Clorie H. Baker

OBITUARY – Clorie H. Baker – LEXINGTON – Services for Clorie H. Baker, 87, of Lexington will be private. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements.

Clorie Baker passed away November 13, 2019. Born in Sumter, SC, she was a daughter of the late Hattie Hodge. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who kept her large family together. Clorie was always there for her family, whether it was a spiritual need or a physical need. She was energetic and loved the beach, dancing the shag and cooking.  When her family was together, she enjoyed card games and always played to win! Clorie was always a positive force in her families’ life, and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She will be missed by all who knew her; the world is a sadder place without her presence.

Clorie is survived by her children; son, Quint Baker (Kathy) of West Columbia; daughter, Tami Baker Bowers (Donnie) of West Columbia; grandchildren, Melissa Davis, Britni Culley, Brendle Bottiglier, Meghan Baker, Brooke Duchnowski, Wilder Bowers, Lexi Baldauf, Landon Bowers; great-grandchildren, Alexander Davis, Kylie Davis, Daniel Adkins, Xander Adkins, Jaylen Mijares, MiLeah Mijares, Dacian Duchnowski, Ebin Bottiglier, Abel Bottiglier, Gage Bottiglier, Tayeson Bowers, Westin Bowers, Greyson Mitchell, and an expectant great-grandchild. In addition to her mother, Clorie was predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years, Harry Baker; daughters, Valli Baker and Gwyn Cox; son, Shane Baker; grandson, Daniel Baker; son-in-law, Scott Bowers.
