Obituary of Jeanne Holten

OBITUARY  - Jeanne Holten -  EASTOVER – Celebration of Life services for Jeanne Holten, 81, of Eastover, will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at McLeod United Methodist Church, 11640 Garners Ferry Road, Eastover, SC 29044. Pastor Sharon Long will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia. The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Monday, November 11, 2019 at Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072.

Mrs. Holten passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late William Carl Durham and Margaret Lucille Barker Hoffmann. Jeanne retired from Pro-Parents, a non-profit organization. She loved fishing, dancing and camping with her husband. She adored all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Jeanne is survived by her daughters, Tina Jeanne Sorrenti (John) of West Columbia, Vonda B. Harmon     (Jerry) of Eastover; son, Douglas Edward Bryan (Bridget) of Santee; daughter, April Joy Bryan (Victor) of Hopkins; grandchildren, Robert Williams, David Williams, Laura Williams, Rachael Jeanean Petoskey, Tillie Bryan, Douglas “Bubba” Bryan, Roger McLemore, Jenny Rye (Jason); many loving great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, William Carl Durham, Jr.; sisters, Wilma Storey (J.R.), Sharon Rose Erdel, Linda Sue Hughes; brother, Donald L. Hoffmann (Karen). In addition to her parents, Jeanne was predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years, Rickie Holten; brother, Ralph David Corteville; grand-daughter, Jennifer Jena Clayton; “Daddy”, Willow E. Hoffmann.
