Obituary of Ray C. Maas

WEST COLUMBIA, SC Services for Ray C. Maas, 77, of West Columbia, will be private. Mr. Maas passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019. Born in Saginaw, MI, he was a son of the late Wilbur Maas and Freida Heffner. He graduated from Saginaw High School, and attended Delta Community College. He was a veteran of the United States Army.  

 

Ray retired from AT&T in 1999, and NCR in 2004.  He was a very hard worker all his life, and family meant everything to him. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards with friends, and shared a love for reading and traveling. Ray never met a stranger and would do anything for anyone. 

Ray was greatly loved, and will be missed by all who knew him.

 

Ray is survived by his son, Kenneth R. Maas (Jennifer) of Aurora, Illinois; daughter, Jennifer J. Maas-Lenart (Donald) of West Columbia; grandchildren, Brandon and Justin Lenart, Kyle Ritli, Noah and Brooklyn Maas; and a large and loving extended family.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oliver Gospel Mission, 1100 Taylor St, Columbia, SC 29201.
