Obituary of Sue Waters Haff

A Celebration of Life service for Sue Waters Haff, 97, of West Columbia, will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Mausoleum Chapel of Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington. Pastor Brett DeYoung will officiate. Interment in Woodridge Memorial Park will follow the service. Sue Haff passed away June 5, 2019.  Born in Whitley City, KY, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Waters and Vadia Stevens Waters.

Sue enjoyed international traveling and line dancing, a skill she learned in her 70’s. Sue loved her large family, and enjoyed visiting with them often. In her later years, Sue loved sitting on her screened porch and watching nature with the company of her cat, Pearl, who she called “Beautiful”.

Sue is survived by her loving daughters, Marcia Daniell (John) of Orlando, FL, Lessie Burton (Tommy) of Port Orange, FL, Lillian Gay Haff of Blythewood, SC, Bonnie Michels (Philip) of West Columbia, SC; many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Edna Horne; sons-in-law, Hugh Collis and Tim Dubose.

In addition to her parents, Sue was predeceased by her husband, Edwy Colfax Haff, Jr.; son, Donald Horne; daughters, Sarah Collis and Laurel Dubose, great granddaughter, Sarah Collis.
