Obituary of Harold Donald Dean

Harold D. Dean – Kernersville – Funeral services for Harold D. Dean, 67, of Kernersville, will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Lakeside Gazebo at Woodridge Memorial Park in Lexington, SC. Pastor Steven Kittrell will officiate. Burial in Woodridge Memorial Park will follow the service. The family will greet friends following the service at the Gazebo. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington, SC is assisting the family.

Mr. Dean passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019. Born in Columbus, Ohio, he was a son of the late Wallace Dean and Willie Ruth Eason. After retirement, Harold was employed by Food Lion, where he met and befriended many co-workers and customers. He was an amazing husband, father, “Pepaw” and brother who enjoyed the outdoors and football, especially the Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers, and the USC Gamecocks.

In addition to his mother, Harold is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Ila Dean; son, Christopher Korrek, daughter, Jaime Hartman; 13 grandchildren, Courtney Richards, Chelsey Carpenter, Harley Korrek (Brett Shore), Gaven Cameron, Logan Haney, Alexas Hartman, Sarah Hartman, Haylee Haney, Hayden Moore, James Hartman, Leila Moore, Levi Hartman, Colt Korrek; brother, Paul Dean; many loving nieces and nephews, and a large and loving extended family. Harold is also survived by a grand-puppy, Apollo, and a great-grand puppy, Axell. Harold was predeceased by his father; and sister, Carolyn Dean.

The family would like to thank the staff of the 7th floor Cancer Center of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and Dr. Dianna Howard and her associates for their tender care, and the staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
