Obituary of Edwin Ensio Pokki, Jr.

Edwin Ensio Pokki Jr., known to his friends and family as Ed, passed away peacefully at his home in Lexington, SC on February 3rd, 2019. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

 

Ed was born in Gardner, Massachusetts on September, 23rd 1943 to Edwin Ensio Pokki Sr. and Beatrice Lola Pokki. After graduating high school he went on to serve four years in the United States Army and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. After serving his country Ed went on to be a successful business owner specializing in auto body repair and restoration. After retirement Ed spent his time gardening, working on projects in his garage and making memories with his grandchildren.

 

Ed is survived by wife of 25 years, Patricia, his children Lindsay, Christopher (Kimberly), Eddie (Ashley) and his grandchildren Abigail, Nathaniel, William, Zachary, Jaden and Ella. He is also survived by his brother Thomas Pokki (Norberta) and many other relatives and friends.

 

Visitation will be held February 11th, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Woodridge Memorial Park & Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held following visitation at 12:00 PM at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Pastor Brian Cinamon will officiate. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington SC 29072. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 303, 3 Misty Morning Drive, Columbia, SC 29229-9084 (803) 788-9498.
