Obituary of Teressa Ann Toole

A Celebration of Life service for Teressa A. Toole, 72, of Gilbert, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 3, 2018 at the Lakeside Gazebo at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington. Pastor Candace Chellew-Hodge will officiate. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Monday December 3rd, prior to the service at Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington.

Mrs. Toole passed away November 29th, 2018, after a brave battle with cancer. Born in Knoxville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Harry Charles Justice and Laverne Keller. Mrs. Toole was a lifelong fan of the Miami Dolphins, an avid collector of Owls, and her heart bled Tennessee orange. A true friend to all who knew her, the most important thing to Mrs. Toole was the happiness of her family and friends, and nothing meant more to her than hearing the laughter of loved ones around her. Mrs. Toole is remembered by many as “Mama T” on the softball bleachers yelling “Three Up, Three Down!”, as she supported her daughter’s many teams over the years.

Teressa is survived by her loving children; daughter, Renee Toole of Gilbert; son, Keith Toole of Gilbert; daughter, Tina Spires of Gaston; grandchildren, Christopher Collingwood and Steven Shields; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Angie Waggoner of Knoxville, TN, Yvonne Douglas (Bill) of Knoxville, TN. In addition to her parents, Teressa was predeceased by her husband, Harry “Sambo” Toole; a brother, Mikey Justice.

The family would like to thank the staff of Amedysis Home Health for their attentive care, and the staff of the 8th floor Oncology department at Lexington Medical Center. To say that she will be missed is certainly an understatement, and we will forever be grateful for the time we had with her.
