Obituary of Lavee C. Hall Gandy Hughart

Lavee C. Hall Gandy Hughart entered into rest Nov. 25, 2018. She was born near Stedman and Fairview, S.C. July 12, 1931, and was a daughter of the late Lemuel A. Hall and Carrie J. Hall. She was raised by her maternal grandparents, Holly and Veter Hall, and her uncle Walter on their farm in Aiken county.

Lavee was a longtime resident of Columbia, SC, and was a member of First Church of The Nazarene and the Neely Friendship class. She was a homemaker, loving mother and devoted wife. Lavee loved cooking, reading, traveling to the mountains and out west to see God’s handiwork.

Surviving are her husband, Jack Hughart; beloved daughters, Gloria and Linda (Ted) Stratakos. Lavee was predeceased by her parents; grandparents; Heyward Gandy, the father of her precious daughters; an infant sister; and her beloved pet,Veta.

Funeral services for Lavee C. Hall Gandy Hughart will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, December 1, 2018 at First Church of The Nazarene, 901 St. Andrews Rd, Columbia, South Carolina. Burial will follow the service in Woodridge Memorial Park in Lexington. The family will greet friends 1 hour prior to the service (11:00 AM – 12:00 PM) in the church sanctuary.
