Obituary for Robert James Brittain, Sr.

Robert James Brittain Sr., 90, of Irmo, husband of Frances F. Brittain,  passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018. He was born on July 7, 1928  in Bangor , Pennsylvania  to the late Clarence and Berdine Eilenberger Brittain. He was a 1946 graduate of Bangor High School Pennsylvania, retired Army Sergeant Major and retired Civil servant at Fort Jackson.

In addition to his wife of 65 years, he  is survived by two sons, Doyle Maxwell Brittain and Robert J. Brittain Jr., three grandchildren, Robert J. Brittain III, Matthew R. Brittain and Jacque Britttain. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Norman Brittain, one grandchild Frank Brittain, three sisters, Catherine Parsons, Doris Dziedzina and Gloria Lorenzo.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM  on  Monday, November 5, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park.  Funeral services will be at 11:00AM  on Monday November 5, 2018  in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park with full military honors.
