Obituary for John William Marks, Jr.

John William Marks, Jr. ,86, of Leesville, South Carolina, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia, South Carolina . He was born on March 27, 1932 in Beloit, Wisconsin to the late John William Marks, Sr. and Rosa Dairy Marks.
 
Mr. Marks was predeceased by his sister, Donna Lytle.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marlene Downing Marks; daughter, Janet Twitty; son, Jeffrey D. Marks and four loving grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister survive him; Jerry and George Marks and Dorothy Skelton.

John retired from IBM after 30 years with the company. John was also an avid woodworker and amateur radio operator. He spent 4 years in the Navy during the Korean War as a radio operator.

Services for Mr. Marks will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Woodridge Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, 29072 with burial to follow in Woodridge Memorial Park.
