After serving in the Navy, Jake met and married Dixie Yvonne Davis Bundrick. Together, they had four children and lived the majority of their life in Lexington, SC.

Jake was a self-employed Masonry Contractor and worked mainly in Lexington and Richland counties for over 30 years. He was very talented and creative with his craft and had a way to bring visions to life.

Jake was a past Master of Lexington Masonic Lodge 152, a charter member of The Jamil Temple Hillbilly unit, a member of Lexington Baptist Church and The Country Club of Lexington.
